Dour festival 12 13 14 15 JULY 2012 plain de la machine à feu dour

[EN] New names ! Little Dragon / TNGHT / DâM-FunK / Fanfarlo / Poliça / Nick Waterhouse / Plants and Animals / Stuck in the Sound / The Bots / The Experimental Tropic Blues Band / Great Mountain Fire / Montevideo / Spector / Malibu Stacy / Willow / Surfing Leons have been added to the line-up for 24th Dour Festival.

Following on for their 2010 performance, the Swedish group Little Dragon will be back at Dour with their third, brilliant album Ritual Union. Their feisty electro-pop is attracting more new fans by the day.

Talented producers Hudson Mohawke & Lunice have decided to pool their talents and create the project TNGHT, which is already creating a lot of buzz on the electro scene. They will be on stage together in Belgium for the first ever time.

We are also pleased to be welcoming the ambassador of boogie funk, Los Angeles’ DâM-FunK, as well as the prodigious modern R&B talent Nick Waterhouse. Crowned ‘Best punk artist’ at Hollywood’s All Indie Music Awards, the Lei brothers The Bots will be showing that they can translate their new title into a scintillating stage performance!

Belgian rock will be represented by The Experimental Tropic Blues Band, the grooves of Great Mountain Fire, inspiring electro rock from Montevideo, and Malibu Stacy- although these groups have been making a massive splash abroad as well as at home.

Fanfarlo are also set to descend on the festival, bringing mandolins, trumpets and whatever else they can carry, while Bon Iver’s favourites Poliça will be bringing their charm, courtesy of Channy Leanagh’s sublime vocals, to the stage.

For some refreshing new rock, we have Plants and Animals and the young London group Spector.

The Flemish group Willow, long-time fans of the festival, will also be joining the pary, playing from their first album We The Young.

We can also confirm that Surfing Leons, residents if the Forma T stage, will be playing alongside T. Williams, Julio Bashmore, Mosca et goldFFinch!

In 2010 waren ze al eens van de partij, maar nu keren de Zweden van Little Dragon terug met een briljante derde plaat Ritual Union onder de arm. Met hun pittige elektropop weten ze steeds meer muzikale harten te veroveren.

De talentvolle producers Hudson Mohawke & Lunice bundelen hun creatieve krachten in het nieuwe project “TNGHT” en dat zorgt voor behoorlijk wat buzz in elektronische sferen. Hun Belgische livepremière kun je deze zomer op Dour Festival beleven.

We mogen ook de ambassadeur van de “boogie funk” uit Los Angeles, DâM-FunK, verwelkomen, net als de kroonprins van de moderne R&B, de uitmuntende Nick Waterhouse.

De All Indie Music Awards in Hollywood bekroonde hen tot beste punkact. Op Dour komen de broertjes Lei van The Bots bewijzen dat ze ook live de besten zijn.

We hebben ook wat fraaie aanbiedingen in de afdeling “Made In Belgium”, hoewel ze ook steeds vaker in het buitenland te vinden zijn: de vurige rock van The Experimental Tropic Blues Band, de groovy sound van Great Mountain Fire, de elektrorock van Montevideo en de oude getrouwen van Malibu Stacy.

Fanfarlo komt zowaar aanzetten met mandolines en trompetten, terwijl Poliça, de lievelingetjes van Bon Iver, ons wisten te bekoren dankzij de sublieme stem van Channy Leanagh.

De Canadezen van Plants and Animals zorgen voor een verfrissend rockgeluid, net zoals de jonge Londense wolven van Spector.

De jongens van Willow lieten onlangs hun knappe debuut “We The Young” los op de mensheid. Als grote fans van Dour Festival mochten ze niet op de affiche ontbreken.

Nog voer uit eigen land: Surfing Leons, resident op het Forma.T podium, staat geprogrammeerd aan de zijde van T. Williams, Julio Bashmore, Mosca en goldFFinch !

Présents à Dour en 2010, les Suédois de Little Dragon reviennent à Dour avec un troisième album brillant Ritual Union, dont le style électro-pop piquant n’arrête pas de séduire de plus en plus de monde.

Producteurs de talents, Hudson Mohawke & Lunice décident de s’associer et créent le projet «TNGHT » qui fait déjà beaucoup parler dans la sphère électro. Ils seront ensemble sur scène pour la première fois en Belgique.

On accueille également l’Ambassadeur du « boogie funk » de Los Angeles, DâM-FunK, et le petit prodige du R&B moderne, l’excellent Nick Waterhouse.

Sacrés « Meilleur artiste punk » par le All Indie Music Awards d’Hollywood, les frères Lei de The Bots prouveront que sur scène aussi, ce sont les meilleurs !

Un peu de rock « Made in Belgium » avec, alors qu’ils cartonnent de plus en plus à l’étranger, The Experimental Tropic Blues Band, le son groovy de Great Mountain Fire, l’electro-rock inspiré de Montevideo ou encore les envolées de Malibu Stacy.

Fanfarlo débarque avec mandolines et trompettes sous le bras tandis que les petits chouchous de Bon Iver, Poliça, nous charmeront grâce à la voix sublime de Channy Leanagh.

Place au rock rafraichissant avec les Canadiens de Plants and Animals et les jeunes Londoniens fougueux de Spector.

Les flamands de Willow, grands fans du Festival de Dour, seront aussi de la partie, et nous présenteront leur premier album « We The Young ».
